After his sports career was over, Jim Thorpe tried many different types of jobs, including acting.
In this short movie, a comedy, he stars as Jim Thorpe, a football guy who is trying to teach younger players how to drop kick.

This movie gives us a chance to see some interesting pieces from college football history.
First, Jim Thorpe actually talk, which is rather rare in itself, but second, what some football gear looked like at the time, such as tackling dummies, blocking sleds, and players at practice.

The footage from this movie is as clear as we’re going to find from 1932. I hope you enjoy.
